Despite the fact Caboose is very obviously a wind walker, there is something very off about him, that nobody can really place at first meeting him. One factor may be that you will almost never see him extend or use his wings in any manner, or perhaps how the feathered appendages are laid across his back/sides so awkwardly? But the problem become evident, once Caboose accidentally, reflexively, or by someone else's force, opens his wings. They are a mix of a pretty silver and deep blue, navy speckling the edges and tips of his primary feathers. Yet, that isn't the most obvious thing about the wings you notice. They are both twisted, wonky, and very useless for flight. It appears he could have been born like that, but instead they have been purposely deformed - not by Caboose himself, but cruelty in the extreme. Cruelty from Mother Nature.

Despite his absolutely useless wings, Caboose finds they are comfortable, and make good shelter, even if his movement of them are horribly strange, and always seem awkward to others viewing him. His actual fur is a soft navy blue, thick around his ruff and flanks. His body, although still with hollow, light bones, has been strengthened by his time on the ground, and Caboose, almost seems edging on average body-size for a normal wolf, though he himself, knows that to other Windwalkers, he must seem rather stocky. He has a slight silver speckling across his body too, like a very very pale starry sky.He has a very dark blue dorsal stripe, and the same colour tips his ears. Eyes are a golden yellow, the shade of rings. He has the mutation of cat claws, meaning his paws hide retractable feline claws, that are very sharp. They give him greater traction too, and because of his light weight, sometime climbing trees.

personality
Caboose doubts he could ever fly again. This is quite a sore spot for him, and he finds it demeaning and hard to cope. Caboose does get quite flustered easily. If he believes a friend is in danger, both sides of him react the same way, though Caboose solidly denies any of this.Because of his damaged wings, Caboose is very aware of his body language, and although it is hard for him to defy his nature - his wings are naturally mobile, showing quite a lot of his emotions readily, even if Caboose doesn't want them to. He has learnt to hold his wings in a seemingly natural manner, yet this is a strain upon him, and Caboose often finds his back and shoulder muscles that attach his wings quite sore. This means a weak point for the blue male, so he always reacts if these areas receive pressure or force.

Intelligence is not one thing that Caboose recognises. In fact, he is the opposite. He is quite dim-witted, and is completely incapable of taking hints, and the such. His actions are very eccentric, his is an oddball, sticking out from society like a sore thumb, blankly greeting everyone with blind enthusiasm and friendliness. He is however, very childish, and when he views others being spoken to privately without him, he can become quite envious when he believes other are favoured over him. Most of his activities, Caboose treats like a game, and hates it when other ruin them. He essentially, still has the mind of a child.

Enemies is not a word in Caboose's vocabulary or understanding, so even if he is specifically told others are opposing him, he will greet them like he greets everyone else. Speaking of which, this also leads to another problem, as Caboose is a useless fighter, and will most commonly stand there, getting his butt totally kicked. But still - he won't care, and his lack of reaction to punishment makes is hard to get Caboose to follow rules in that manner. But after all, he just wants to be your best friend.

history
Caboose never was the smartest pup.He was forever wandering off from the nest, exactly how, neither of his parents knew - he'd just be gone. He was however, the only child, and they doted over him, pushing to the side their concerns about Caboose's low intelligence levels, so much, that as he reached adolescence, they finally noticed, and were distraught as to how their son had turned out.

Caboose however, was just as much an explorer that he was before.. He never properly learnt how to fly though - his weak attention span didn't allow it. He simply could glide, perhaps flapping occasionally, but that was the extent of it. That is and remains his last memory of actually being in the air. Caboose was caught out in a storm early evening, having neglected noticing the weather signs. He was harshly dashed into rocks, trees, and finally the ground by the strong winds, and passed out. When he awoke however, Caboose found his wings deformed and practically beyond repair. He moved away, and unable to return to his family, moved on to live on his own, teaching himself the mannerisms that he thought correct. It was a few years after however, as an adult, Caboose came across a new land...
