Flora
All of the unique and various plants known to grow around Adymeria!

North & East
King's Blood: A majestic, large flower that has four white petals that form a cone when the plant is closed. Each petal curls into itself to form a triangle when the plant is open. During the winter this plant turns red and the petals open up to reveal the hollow area of the stem and 'bleeds' itself until it dies. This 'blood' acts as a seed would and as it sinks into the frozen earth the roots of a new king's blood begin to form. Drinking the blood of this flower will cause a numbing effect on the body. Eating the petals during any season when the seed is not falling can cause death.

Ville Bush: A fully grown ville bush can be anywhere from 6-7 feet high and 5 feet long. The beige leaves of this bush are shaped similar to a banana leaf and have about the same thickness, making it a prime target to hide under during storms. During the spring small butter-fly shaped leaves begin to blossom on-top of existing leaves and these leaves are said to aid with fevers.

Goddess Crown: Like the name suggests, this golden flower is shaped like a crown. The stem, too, is golden though far more faded than the actual flower itself. Goddess crown is small in comparison to some of the larger plants of this region though the effects of it are just as powerful. When the goddess crown is crushed and consumed it will put the consumer into a deep, peaceful sleep. Some have said to have prophetic visions after drinking a substance made with the goddess crown.

Silver Fur: Only found in vast fields, this grass is incredibly thin and barely noticeable at first. The thin strands are easily broken when stepped upon and give off a shimmering vibrancy when hit by any source of light. The silver fur is said to be the remains of the great spirit after his passing. When wrapped around an open wound it will help fight off infection. This is one of the rare plants that will flourish all year long.

South & West
Lace Lilly: A beautiful plant that grows only along the shore of small lakes and ponds. This lily looks like an ordinary lily of our world, however, the petals have many holes like lace - hence the origin of its name. Eating the stem of this flower produces a calming effect making it good against panic and anger.

Crane Flower: This flower is rather deceptive in the fact that it looks like a crane bird instead of an actual flower. The easiest way to tell the flower from the bird is to look at the legs; the flower only has one stem that feeds up into the bird-like bud. During the night the flower unfolds and looks like a decaying corpse to deter herbivores from eating it. The root of the crane flower is most commonly used as a hallucinogenic.

Passion-flame: Crackling sounds can be heard from this stunning flower as the petals appear like burning embers. This flower is even hot to the touch and radiates heat. It has five petals that unfurl during the day-time and curl up into a bud during the night to preserve its heat. It is best used for hypothermia or frost-bite.

God's Torch: Another heat related plant but instead of having petals on-top of the stem like most flowers, the God's torch has a small flame in its place. It is a very hard plant to harvest for its medicinal properties because it can burn. The easiest way to harvest the plant is to cover it in water. The roots of this plant are very valuable since it is revered as a cure-all and can do nearly anything the consumer wants based on wish. The plant reacts to the consumer's desires so, as they say, be careful what you wish for.

All Regions
Corpse Vine: This deadly vine usually grows where wars have taken place. It is said that for each body whose soul is unable to leave, a corpse vine grows to carry them to the great spirit. The bark of the vine is brown with spots of seemingly dried blood. It is these red spots that are harvested for consuming these will ease insomnia and forces sleep.

Noa Tree: This tree is one of peculiar origins and fabrication. They are quite large though can come in any sizes. What makes them so unique is their trunks. Their trunks are thick and wavy and nearly transparent. This is because they are made of very fine, thick silky-like strands. These strands are tightly packed though have been seen to float and trail along in the breeze if they get loose. They are fine enough to make small cuts if dragged across the skin and in the right lighting you may see them more clearly when the light reflects off of these strands. However, if shadows pass across them they are hardly able to be seen, rendering the canopies looking as if they are floating on their own. The leaves are also peculiar. They are a fine, silver-white with red tinging the tips and edges. Often times on the older trees one may find sharp, scarlet flowers that when consumed will heighten your senses for a certain amount of time. (This is interchangeable though if you want the effect to do something else. XD) The catch with these, however, is that due to the flowers being so thin and fine often times they will cut your tongue and the inside of the throat though the effects are generally worth the pain. Some have invested the time and found ways to consume these without harm.

Skyflower: These flowers are found most of the time in the north though they can be found in various area's of the world. Their petals are robust and silky to the touch and many find them soothing to be around and touch. Their petals are a deep, rich indigo color and shimmer like metal as the light hits them. Why they have been called the Skyflower is because they levitate a few feet off the ground. One could pass their paws beneath them and not touch a thing. They do not float too high and some force about them prevents them from being moved too far from where they blossom. When they go into slumber they ascend to the skies, dropping their seeds to the ground as they go. Nobody has been able to find out where exactly they go but many believe the gods take them into their homes for decoration and to soothe the nerves. For all we know they could simply disintegrate while the seeds come to light. The seeds grow in the dirt, the bud sprouting from the earth and when it is close to blossoming it rises from the ground to rest in the air among its brethren and live out its life.

Bestiary
All of the known mythical beasts to wander Adymeria! They are defined by Common and Rare, though common ones are still not spotted as often as some of the more "normal" creatures, but there sightings are far more heard of. A rare beast is sometimes doubted by others because of the lack of reliable stories of the creatures existence.

Common
Jackalope: A rather large rabbit, close to the size of a medium size dog, that is known for its speed, grace, antlers and at time odd and long tail feathers. The Jackalope is said to be one of the fastest creatures alive and also a fierce fighter. They often live in colonies with mated pairs living in one den together. Catching one is a great trophy and often a way to prove ones speed and skill in hunting.

Pegasus: A rather common site to see on the open terrain and the high mountain tops. A Pegasus is far taller than any other horse, reaching up to 24 hands. They tend to range in darker colors such as black, browns, roans, and greys. They are known for their great strength and easy and beautiful flights.

Phoenix: The Phoenix is the bird of fire, known to be reborn from the ashes and to have healing tears. Their sizes dwarfs that of any other bird, with a wingspan of nearly twenty feet. The Phoenix is believed to make its nest high in the clouds where no other creature can touch it.

Hippocampus: A beast of the sea, known for its dolphin like tail and his horse fore body. Its a large animal, graceful and beautiful. They are known tricksters though, and have been seen pulling creatures that come to drink or swim deep into the water to give them a good scare.

Rare
Sprite: A sprite is a very small being, often appearing only as a glowing orb. They are wise and beautiful, as old as time itself. They hardly ever speak, but are rather felt by those they are attempting to communicate with. To capture one is said to bring good luck.

Hell Hound: A beast who most definitely lives up to its name. Dragged from the pits themselves these beasts are commonly associated with death and darkness and everything evil you could possibly think of. Their foul stench and common obsidian pelts are traits commonly put to the hellhounds. Though their pelts could vary in color and markings they typically are monochromatic or darker shades of colors. Their eyes could be scarlet red or watery yellow or anything in between. They are known for their speed and agility and ability to blend in to their surroundings by means of invisibility and other phantom-like qualities. Their claws are vicious and their teeth even more so and the more purebred and older hellhounds are even known to talk. They follow death like a plague and will often times be found around sites of great destruction or bloodshed. Their growls are distinct and their breath seems to come out like soot and ash and is a good tracking tool if they are invisible at the time. They are descendants of the Cerberus beasts and are thought to be a hybrid of the Cerberus and some other degenerate beast though not much is known on this as the hellhounds keep their secrets locked down tight.

Chimera:

Gryphon:

Cerberus: The guardians of the afterlife themselves. They used to keep the spirits in check, hounding them and keeping them in their place and from escaping the realm of fire and darkness. Three heads mounted upon thick, muscular shoulders keep watch from all directions they could manage. Their chests are broad and their four legs thick and powerful to withstand the weight needed to function with three heads. They come in all colors and sizes as well though generally do not have markings or any too contrasting colors. The middle head is typically the one who thinks the most and talks the most as it makes most of the decisions for movement and other functions. The other two heads have their own personalities and brains but generally follow the middle one as if it was the alpha in a pack. They are known for their fierce loyalty and unperturbed determination in achieving whatever goal they have or order they were given.

Unicorns: A unicorn is a sacred animal, believed to be one of the purest of creatures. They are highly revered and even worshiped by some of their pure magic and beauty, often solid white in color, even their eyes are a pale white. To kill one is highly looked down upon and believed to bring curses to the land.

Wyverns: Dubbed the cousin of the dragon, the wyvern shares some similar qualities. They have the head of a dragon and a reptilian body of all colors and variations. They are bipedal creatures unlike the dragons, having only two powerful back legs and a set of typically large wings to carry their bodies and perform other actions such as aiding them in traveling across the ground or swimming. Their tails are barbed or spaded or have some other variations to them. An aquatic strain will have fins or fish tails instead. Sometimes wyverns don't even have legs and instead rely on thick muscles and their wings for traveling and their tails for grip and balance. It all depends on the type you find. They also have scales like their dragon ancestors.

Dragons: A quadruped beast with four thick and powerful limbs. Commonly mistaken for wyverns are the types of dragons with no back legs at all, only two fore-legs much like a reptile that travel close to the ground. Dragons also have wings of all sizes and variations and scales covering their bodies. Dragons are by far a mythical beast that comes in all shapes and sizes. They could be minuscule and serpentine in shape or large as an elephant and muscular and built like a dog. They are known to breathe fire and have an affinity for things that are aesthetically pleasing to their eyes. These are only some stereotypes that have been pinned to the dragon species.

Roc: An ancient bird, known for its ability to sway and control the weather patterns, and also for its massive size. The bird has been known to exceed seven feet. Their feathers are incredibly long and soft, changing with whatever the weather happens to be. Many wolves fear them, as they can easily be made into a meal by the great beasts, with their sharp carnivorous beaks and silver talons. In calm weather, the bird is a sleek glowing white in color. If it becomes dark grey to black, it is the start of a storm and electricity will surround its grand body, thunder erupting from the flap of its grand wings. In winter, the bird becomes anything from white to a medium blue hue, snowflakes falling from its wings. Legends say this ancient birds tail feathers will bring good luck and more power to those that hunt, kill, and adorn themselves with the long length of the feathers. To be gifted one though by the ancient bird itself is said to bring many blessings. Like penguins, a Roc takes one mate for life.
