Scent
Normal Wolf Scent. Occasionally rolls in flowers and herbs.

Lunox' father was a male of average size and stature, but his skill in fighting and training allowed him to build muscle that gave him a mix of both power and agility. This made him able to withstand the attacks of smaller enemies that he had to focus on countering, and able to dodge the heavier hits from larger foes. Regina, was also of your standard size and stature. Though she was neither small nor lean in the sense of smaller weight, she seemed to have the right curves to catch the occasional male's eye.
Lunox is an obvious mix of the two. His size and stature are average, though with no serious fighting training, he does currently appear lean a bit lanky. But with combat training, he will be able to possess tough and lean muscles to grant him the agility and short bursts of power than his father was known for.

The base coat of Lunox is a light tan, which stand alone along his underbelly, flanks, and muzzle. A bit of white is interspersed within the tan colors as well, giving it it's light tone. His ears are brown and a bit of brown furs taper off into the gray and black that travel along his spine. Along his sides are black markings. Two prominent black patches of fur on his neck will glow under intense concentration, emotion, or stress. Unable to see himself as it happens, the glow often literally “shows his true colors”. There may be times when his behavior seems calm, but the markings glow. Not being in control of his emotions and having his issues become the issues of others is sometimes he tries to prevent from occurring. Under the most extreme or emotions, stress, and power, his blue eyes will glow brightly with an ethereal glow.

The trait of the Summanus hybrid line is the lack of physical wings. No matter how strong the Wind-Walker blood is within them, they never seem to have wings. However, they do indeed possess wings, but due to the many mixed blood within them, the wings only appear when using power or interacting with the spiritual realm. With Lunox and his unique way of utilizing spiritual power, the wings appear behind his shoulders as ghostly wisps that form either a pair or eagle's wings or dragon's wings. Whichever appear depends on the state of mind he is in. But it is not as simple as evil thoughts provoke dragon's wings, or eagle's wings for pure thoughts. It would be closer to say that selfless thoughts bring the eagle's wings and selfish thoughts the dragon's. But that’s not wholly right either. The best description would be that when he desires to be within the role of an observer and guide, the eagle's wings appear during meditations. When he desires to lead and for others to follow, when he feels he cannot sit by anymore, the dragon's wings adorn him.

The typical mannerism of Lunox are friendly, cheerful, and understanding. He is the wolf wanderers want to run into, whether that be because they are in need of aid, wishing to not encounter aggressive wolves, or looking for a wolf to cheat out of a deal. Lunox will often be quite charitable to strangers and go out of his way to aid others. An aura of innocence seems to follow the male when first meeting others, but getting to know him, one may fight an intensity that they would not expect a slight boy of a man to possess.

Traveling far and wide and offering aid and services is how Lunox grew up. He accompanied his mother performing herbalist work, odd jobs, and offering to heighten the spirits of those they came across. This is the joy of Lunox's existence. A simple, genuine smile caused by something he did, makes many things worth it. He is more more altruistic and selfless than his mother, offering those he encounters aid while expecting nothing in return. It may make life harder for him, but he is willing to suffer through it if it means a stranger is saved a gloomy night. He'll feed those who cannot feed themselves. He'll give luck to one who has received bad luck. He'll defend those who cannot defend themselves. And this is not exclusive only to the weak or the innocent.
His philosophy of Balance gives him the patience to deal with those with sinister mindsets. All are unique, and some minds wish to reap from the world and from others what they desire. Lunox understands the dark ones, and does not see evil, but rather survivalistic and often greedy selfishness. A vice, not an evil. His mind wrestles with the hypothetical question of healing an eventual tyrant, but his hope of putting the events in place to encourage one to goodness, keeps him from seeing selfish wolves as evil. It keeps him from seeing through his mother's vengeful eyes.

Believing in both Sol and Luna, the Summanus son combine's his homeland's different religious philosophies into the philosophy of willpower. The mind, desire, and one's will can dictate what one can accomplish in the physical realm as well as what powers can be channeled from the spiritual realm. Though this can allow him great power, it also often creates chaotic states of mind. His new-found skill of dream walking, for example, might be difficult if the being he wishes to enter the dream of, is one he wishes to stay away from. His emotions of revulsion would overpower his will to connect to the mind of the wolf.
Because of witnessing the power that anger and vengeance gave his mother, he is fearful of losing himself to the same emotions. Though he has not had a similar situation happen to him, he is finds an unpleasant feeling when his need to aid someone intensifies. Both his nature and his philosophy of Balance encourages him to accept the decisions of others. But when one turns away from him, willingly hurling themselves into danger, he feels compelled to restrain them. Though he knows that others are not his responsibility, taking certain actions to better others is a self-given one. It is easy to see then how obsessed he can get of those he believes are on the verge of destruction.
Because of all the self-induced chaos that he brings himself, he becomes unemotional when having issues of his own. When asked, he will often dodge the question, not wishing to burden others with his strange mind. But he will eventually speak freely of them, if another's concern is high enough. Meditation is a typical past time of Lunox, but the frequency of these sessions can increase when turmoil is in his mind.

An altruist constantly battling his own morality, Lunox is not all selfless. Enjoying life and the company of others is a virtue, and he doesn't fall short of it. Though sometimes having a hard time remembering his mother's warning of keeping in mind “moderation” of pleasures to not allow them to become obsessions, Lunox enjoys recreational drugs, parties, celebrations, and lots of intimacy. Growing up, Lunox never felt his attraction to either sex excluded the other. Eventually finding sensual touches his favorite means of excitement, especially his legs, he found himself open to any and all individuals. Not having many close relationships as a youth, Lunox prefers to have many lovers in a polyamorous relationship. Enjoying the uniqueness of new individuals, Lunox is no stranger to accepting the invitations of prostitutes and those who are flirtatious.

Ettore the Blasphemer. If it wasn't for the fact that he could carry his weight, as well as the weight of others, he would have been long punished for his open mockery of the worship of Sol. He was a brute born and raised by the worshipers, however, and so despite his belief that he did not need to shed his or anyone else's blood to the god – that the god needed no worship, if he even cared of his subjects, Ettore still was a textbook example of a follower of Sol. His family was one praised for their discipline in combat and was famous for winning one-on-one duels. Pureblood Earthborns often with the power over the earth, the Nicolo family had its oddballs, but most were respected in the region. Ettore was an oddball due to his strange beliefs, and despite being one of the most skilled fighters in the Pack of the Amoluen, he went seasons of his life without siring offspring.

Regina was a female known for her random kindness, pleasant company, and adventurous flirtations. She was packless and without family, however, so most would refer to her as the “Kind Wild Woman” of the forests within the region. Many locals came to her requesting advice, healing, and simple therapy. Though she was quite the adventurer with a bit of a wild streak to her, she seemed always available to offer calm in times of need. Many often wondered how she kept herself safe and healthy while living alone and unprotected. Little did many know, that though the majority of them worshiped Sol, there was others who silently worshiped Luna. Summanus was a well-known name as well within the region, and had many known that the Kind Wild Woman was of such a line, they would have burned her as punishment for being a witch.

The Summanus family were avid Luna worshipers for generations. Sometimes they were the leading voice against the Sol worshipers; sometimes a comforting whisper to other wayward Luna followers. The history of the Summanus family was always a tug-of-war between zealotry and monasticism. Though it did not always correlate to the amount of believers that resided in the area, Regina's brood were born during a time when Sol worship was much more prevalent. Regina and her kin were quiet, and did not see the need to spread their faith. Instead, they practiced underground in hidden shrines and rooms. There they could practice their beliefs and their magics. The family was both feared and adored for their sorcery, but as they frequently breed with various breeds, the family was able to go hidden. Very rare would a Summanus utter their family name, and there was no birthmark that could single out a Summanus from another wolf. The Summanus family ancestors were said to be Wind-Walkers, however, and it is evident in a mutation where ethereal wings appear during use of magic. During the time when the family was still purebloods, the Summanus Wind-Walkers lost their physical wings and lost the ability to fly. Practicing their magic secretly, the Summanus family was known as the “wingless ones” before infamy came to their name. Within the region of the Amoleun, “wingless ones” became an equivalent to witchblood, specific for the Summanus family. The phrase was suppose to conjure the image of cursed beings never able to be enlightened by the wonders of Sol's light.

How such a love bloomed between Ettore and Regina might be both hard and easy to guess. A man who cannot find the embrace of a woman will look elsewhere. The frequent liaisons grew into an entertaining and enjoyable romance for the two, who soon decided to pair up. Ettore openly announced his plans to breed with the Kind Wild Woman, which brought confusion to his packmates. It was apparent that Ettore did not plan to officially be mated to Regina, which would mean any children had would be bastards. And although the female was kind and attractive, she was known to be a hybrid, a mix of many bloods. Ettore's decision to breed with Regina would cause all manner of shame for him and his family, but already seen as the strange one, his pack was not surprised. The Pack of the Amoleun were quite lenient, for many other packs would have stripped Ettore of his rank, no matter his skill. Still family members in the region had already unofficially disowned him, but the Elder Ettore never officially stripped it.

The pregnancy and birth were abnormal to say the least. The small size of Regina's belly gave rise to the fear that she would birth a litter of runts. Ettore would threatened to kill them all if that was the case. Or disown them! Or accuse Regina of breeding with someone else! Regina would simply calm him and confidently tell him that they were having a son, whom she would name “Lunox”. To which another argument would arise with Ettore spouting more “manly” names. They would never agree to a name, with Ettore calling his child “Adamo” and Regina calling him “Lunox”. He would be born early in the season of the Ice Moon to no littermates.

Perhaps a combination of charisma and good sex, the short tempered and off the wall Ettore seemed easily controlled by Regina. This was apparent in the rearing of little Lunox, though granted, Ettore rarely elected himself to the position. He seemed always concerned with his boy growing up into a strong man. Lunox remembers a time he had found a bundle of sticks caught in twine, to which he twisted into the shape of a deer he named Iulia. His father smashed it in rage, attempting to demonstrate the “proper behavior of a hunter and warrior”. Regina stepped in to soothe her son. Lunox remembers her reassuring voice, and the calm sternness she spoke to his father. It would be a while for Lunox to get over the event, but he would live most of his childhood with his mother and would not grow up feeling the need to try to impress a father's ideals that weren't in his nature. As he did grow older, his father would occasionally take him to the Amoluen and attempt to brag about his only son. It was a confusing situation to have a father brag proudly about you, but have his audience snicker and whisper. He was a bastard, a scandalous result of lust. He was a muddy wolf, not of any pure or respected bloodline. What was he to be proud of? Ettore was simply proud to have a child, and aside from Lunox' often effeminate qualities, Ettore found himself satisfied with his son. With Regina's reassurance, Lunox would learn to appreciate his father's pride despite the mockery of those he wished to impress. Yes he was born to unwed individuals, but the love was there. Yes his blood was mixed with the blood of others, but blood was the same taste, not sweeter in others. Lunox would learn to let the words of others slide off his back and take pride in what he knew he should be proud of.

But my Worth, I'd say I'm Something
Living in the forests, Lunox grew as a wild child. The influence of his eccentric mother aided the formation of his innocent and carefree nature. He learned to fear nothing, love nature's peculiarity, and love with all his heart. He would grow up naturally assuming the best of his peers, though this often made for embarrassing encounters. Ettore would continually bring him into the Amoleun, to which Lunox never got used to proper socializing with others. Being the kid of the blasphemer didn't help much either, and so he would never grow up with close friends that weren't plants, animals, and dolls.

Throughout his childhood, he was always introduced to the strange magic his mother performed. She would gather with other Luna worshipers in the night and perform rituals, participate in hearing the prophecies of the seer, and celebrating under the full moon. Magic was always awe-inspiring, never fear inducing. It was both a gift and a tool, never a curse of a burden. It was a wolf's choice to use. Though he could not wield any magic yet, he never felt envy while watching the magicians do their work. He felt just beholding the magic was participation enough.
As a yearling, Lunox would begin to travel the region with his mother learning herbal healing, recreational uses of herbs, herbal supplements, entertaining, story telling, tracking, scouting, and hunting. Lunox enjoyed entertaining, story telling, partaking in some recreational herb use, and encouraging wolves to pursue their dreams. He befriended many wolves in his travels, remembering each of their names. But he had always been a lonely boy, drawing his social need from the encounters of interesting characters or creating them within his mind in spite of not having many consistent relationships. As one could imagine, Lunox grew into an awkward adult. Though he was skilled in providing he and his mother's services and was competent in aiding his mother in more advanced tasks, his personality was a strange one. He was very silly and lighthearted, sometimes lifting the mood, other times agitating others. When nitpicked on his strange personality, he would shrug it off, being very capable of not letting words and insults get to him. He had considered himself a simple wolf up to this point in his life. No odd features, no magical powers, he could often be mistaken as a purebred Earthborn at times. But the life he lived and viewed as being ruled by love and care would soon change.

There are Beasts in saints, Saints in beasts
Barnaby Eryn was a rogue known in the region for gathering wayward loners and turning them into thugs. Many loners and wandering pack wolves found themselves victims of their power trips and violence. Regina and her son often treated a few who had bad encounters with Barnaby's group. In the season of the Hunter Moon of Lunox's second year of life, Barnaby, desiring to be called Eryn the Scourge, began to target a pack to take over and claim as the start of his dynasty. Packs in the Amoleun interacted and were peaceful towards each other, but stayed out of others' business. On the outside, packs thought well of pack take overs, as long as it was not their own, as it was a sign of power and strength. Winners of alpha challenges were often said to have been touched by Sol and spoken with respect and fear. Despite this group being known for their kidnappings, trespassing on pack lands, shakedowns, rapes, and occasional instances of murder, most packs in the Amoleun left them to try to take over the small pack of the Direwood. One of the Luna Coven caught wind of this, and one of the Summanus line was vocal in putting a stop to this.

Rumors of seeing strange lights in the night began to spread just as the band of Barnaby was beginning to attack and weaken the Direwood's warriors. Lightning without thunder, some would say. Pack elders and shamans spoke of the anger of a spirit, or the omen of great destruction due to wrath. On a night when mighty Luna was strongest in the sky, Regina walked toward the reveling victors of the Barnaby – Direwood war. As bright and white as the moonlight herself, Regina walked past intoxicated and war-drunk warriors, some of whom fled at her sight, others attempted to attack. The folded, ethereal, reptilian wings upon her sides convinced many that she was a Summanus, who had recently been rumored to not be so wingless as thought. When attacked by the drunken thugs, she seemed untouchable, vanishing for a moment and then appearing just paces forward. She was allowed to proceed to where Barnaby Eryn slept, rousing him from his sweet slumbers. As both the band of rogues and the captured Direwood wolves watched on, Barnaby cleverly turned the encounter into a battle of beliefs. He was no fool, especially to get where he was now, and recognized the witch as utilizing the power of the moon. Heresy. Barnaby's attempt at rousing the Sol followers into a frenzy of devotion failed, as Regina's display, chosen specifically to intimidate, worked as planned. However it failed to cause Barnaby to back down without a fight. A battle ensued between water and the moon, fire and the sun. Many of the Luna Coven watched from afar, some saying prayers to Luna as the fight went on. At the end, Regina's heightened power allowed her to bloody and weaken Barnaby, who was now fighting with many wounds. He did not beg to be spared, and instead attempted to continue his fight, to which Regina seemed all too pleased to have reason to finish him off. Beams of light shot from the her jaws, slicing into the rogue lord, ending his dynasty before it even began. His rogue band attempted to maintain cohesion after his death, but eventually disbanded due to constant power struggles. The Direwood would convert to Luna worship, gaining uneasy terms with the neighboring packs.

The fight never sat well with Lunox afterward. The battle of words. The battle of opposing deities, something he was beginning not to believe. The battle of power, pride, and wrath, all of which it seemed his mother possessed more than Barnaby. It made him uneasy to the emotion of anger, which never caused outbursts with either he or his mother. But they both had smoldering anger due to the actions of both victims and oppressors. While Lunox was apt to see brutish wolves as victims, whom needed to both be shielded from others and both aided to turn from their evil ways, Regina was more keen on getting rid of the psychopaths and crazies that occasionally sprang up. His mother always had the mindset to challenge any and all who thought they could do as they please, at the expense of others. She was not the best fighter, but her knowledge of magic, herbalism, and mind games allowed her to craft elaborate schemes to punish and teach lessons she thought would go unlearned by fools. It was such a strange side to his mother, who was normally so kind and caring. But become “evil” in her eyes and you were not worth the breath your breathed. It did not sit well with Lunox, who would go on to try his best to contain his emotions.

Since the fight, Regina's state began to weaken. The fight and the overuse of her powers caused her to limp as she walked now, and some of her magic abilities were stunted. A few of the Lunox Coven spoke of Regina's state as the logical result of her display of power. It was viewed as just how those powers worked. Lunox and a few others thought it was a curse from Luna herself for improperly using her blessed powers. Still, however, Regina would remain in good spirits for another year, remaining cared for by the other Luna worshipers. She would pass peacefully in her sleep at the age of 7. Lunox traveled back to the Amoleun to tell his father of Regina's death. His parents, never official mates, had lessened interactions over the years. Upon receiving the news, Ettore appeared heartbroken, and regretful of not remembering the last words he had said to her. Lunox reassured him that Regina had always said happy things regarding him, and that he needn’t worry about regrets. Lunox himself had simply had a conversation with his mother the night before. There was never a precautionary goodbye, and no need for one now. She had lived her life and enjoyed it.

Symbiosis in Opposing Powers
It was now that Lunox took an interest into magic. He was taught a few basic concepts by those of the Luna Coven, but preferred introspection and private study to learning magic abilities. He even traveled outside the caverns to speak to Amoleun elders on the disciplines of their magic. The Luna Coven stressed that your mind had to give meaning to the magic you wished to wield. To inscribe a strength rune upon a smooth stone while having turmoil in the mind, you were more likely to inscribe a curse upon it, than a blessing. To channel all your sorrows into the words of a song would be enough to give power to the words, and create a spell for good or ill. The packs of the Amoluen stressed that Sol's blessings were hard to gain and hard to wield. You had to be strong enough to use power and thus work to break past all barriers to prove proficient in the magic art. Manipulation of fire and earth elements were popular among the Amoluen mages, and all agreed that you had to push back against the element to wield it. Fire required passion; the desire to eat up and die down in order to control it. Earth required force; the knowledge of how to condense your strength for one single moment, and how to release it for large and powerful shock waves. Learning both disciplines allowed Lunox to discipline himself in the art of willpower. Instead of channeling his emotions into his magic, or molding his mind to dominate the magic he wished to control, he focused on channeling his desires, emotions, and will into the power to push and fight back. It encouraged his belief of balance, in which he believed that Sol and Luna were not always fighting and at odds with each other, but rather balancing each other as necessary for the world to function. A balance of the structure of order and the randomness of chaos.

Lunox still acted as one of the region's herbal healers and entertainers. Though as he engaged in the study of magic more and more, the magic seemed to change him slightly. Underground with the Luna Coven is where he would typically meditate, and one day one of the Luna worshipers noticed wisps around his sides that formed eagle's wings. Elders remarked that it was something that others of his line had, but only manifested during use of magic. A few took this as a sign of Lunox's potential to be a very powerful mage just as his ancestors. Finding no use of these ethereal wings, Lunox did not pay them much attention. He simply made it more necessary to meditate in solitude and not be found as a “wingless” one.

But is My Will, Other's Bane?
In one of his wanderings, Lunox encountered a runaway named Gledwine, a yearling of the changeling breed. His pelt was a dark black, that when hit by the light, would ripple with every color imaginable. Their first encounter was tense, with Gledwine unwilling to receive any aid, despite being hungry, tired, and shaken from wherever he had runaway from. It had always been Lunox's nature, up to this point, to let those around him do as they wished. If his understanding either could not be accepted, he had no right to force it on others, no matter how right he thought it was. He could respect the differing minds that existed around him, and understood that what made sense to him might not make sense to others. But when he allowed the youth to walk off to nowhere, Lunox his idleness was wrong. He has yet to determine whether his desire to accompany, guide, and protect the boy was fueled by virtue or vice.

Lunox did however run into Gledwine again a few days afterward. The boy had taken a bad wound to his leg, which Lunox began to treat with herbal medicine. To speed recovery, a Lunox worshiper with healing magic was asked to help. During Gledwine's healing, he and Lunox talked and learned of each other. Or rather, Lunox worked to get the boy to speak more about himself, while Lunox told of his life and stories. All Lunox would ever learn of Gledwine was that he was certainly not from the Amoleun, and was most likely running away from family, responsibility, and his pack.
One day Gledwine had slipped into a dark mood and was tired running and tired of not being able to fight back against whatever had caused him to flee. Lunox soon worked himself into a stern tirade of “not giving up” and “having to try no matter what it seems like,” which was only stopped when Gledwine asked if Lunox was going to summon something. Upon inquiring why Gledwine had asked such a thing, the boy pointed out that markings on both sides of his neck would glow. And that this wasn't the first time. Realizing his emotions were not only getting the best of him, but also affecting the growing magic he possessed, Lunox hushed himself.

Once healed and having a better grasp on how to survive on his own, Gledwine thanked Lunox and decided to continue wandering. Once again Lunox was torn, the marks on his neck glowing as Gledwine departed, but he let the boy go, despite feeling the worst to happen.
Meditating proved much more difficult now as this regret lingered in his mind. The Luna Coven mentioned this once, but they all were not the type to restate the obvious. Lunox knew his emotions were interfering with his peace, but his philosophy of willpower gave power to his uncontrolled emotions and desires to watch over the boy and guide him. During times when he was able to meditate, he felt himself wander, as if he was no longer in the physical world. Visions came to him instead of the soothing emptiness of meditation, and he saw the boy wandering, crying, running, fighting. Curious and perplexed, Lunox tried harder to reach the boy, eventually interacting with Gledwine in a dream world, in Gledwine's dreams. The first dream, Lunox walked into, he offered advice to the boy. He told Gledwine to search himself, to find out who he was and be who he wished to be. That no one was the decider of his future but him. And then whatever had tethered Lunox to the dream was broken.
The second time Lunox saw shadows in the shape of brutes stalking the boy in a world of darkness. Only the contours of the earth, the outlines of the shadows, the ripples of color from Gledwine's fur, and the ethereal blue glow of Lunox brought light to this world. All else was dark. The only constant light in the world, Lunox served as a beacon for Gledwine to run to. As the shadows pursued the boy, Lunox would fly forward with wings he did not know he possessed, toward an unseen destination which he knew in his heart, but did not know in his mind. As the shadows taunted and mocked the boy, scene by scene Lunox's wings would change, from that of an eagles, to that of a dragon's. At the end of Gledwine's path stood another looming shadow, larger than the others, but with glowing blue eyes. The new threat snarled at the approaching boy, stopping him in his tracks. In that moment, Lunox swooped down, wisking Gledwine from the harm of both threats and toward a black sky of nothingness. Feeling the shadows take flight now, Lunox flew faster with all his might to carry the yearling in his jaws. But suddenly, Lunox opened his eyes from his meditations with a jolt, and he was back in the Coven's caves.

Lunox had went out to search for the boy for days after the second encounter. He employed all his tracking skills to find Gledwine, asked locals if they had seen the boy, but he could not trace him. Still in the wilderness, Lunox walked the boy's dreams again. This third and final dream thrust Lunox into a dark swamp lacking all color save the color black. Lunox could hear the cries of torture from Gledwine, and immediately flew toward the sound. Everything within this dream progressed slowly, the movement and even the sounds passed into the ears like a torturous caress of a spider. Shadows, more recognizably in the shape of unique and specific wolves gnawed, tugged, and tossed the boy around between each other like a play thing. Lunox could feel his anger rise, the markings and even his eyes glowing in this hellish world. But before he could attempt to fight, a large golem-like cerberus peeled itself from the background and moved heavily to dissuade Lunox. All heads except the middle one kept their watchful gaze on Gledwine, while the middle head widened its jaws to devour the intruder. Lunox could feel Gledwine's eyes on him, despite the horrors he was enduring. Lunox attempted to dodge the large jaws that came for him, but after missing their target, the large beast thrust its body toward Lunox, crashing into the Dream Walker and sending him to the murky earth. Attempting to recover as quickly as he could Lunox rose to his paws, but the cerberus was still heading for him. Gledwine shut his eyes tight, desiring for the nightmare to end, and in a few tense moments, Lunox opened his eyes. His body ached now as if a mighty beast has just sent him hurling into the earth.

It would be a few days for Lunox to recover from the event, but it did not stop him from attempting to enter Gledwine's dreams. He tried for weeks, but never entered the strange realm of Gledwine's tortured mind. Lunox knew in his heart what it meant, but he tried to keep it from his mind as much as he could. When one day he finally told a Luna follower his dream walking, they confirmed his suspicions by perceiving it all to be the dreams of a tortured soul on the brink of death. The dead cannot dream.

It was not long before Lunox felt his soul feel regret and grow restless. The lands around the Amoleun was too familiar now, and held too many memories. He and his mother had worked well to establish some amounts of peace here, and Lunox felt compelled to work elsewhere. Before departing his homeland, he visited his father to give him a goodbye. Despite not spending much time together, Ettore desired greatly for his son to stay. Lunox reassured his father and promised to visit him again each year. Before departing, his father apologized for an old incident long forgotten. “I'm... I'm sorry for destroying your doll.” Lunox gave a laugh and hugged his father, the markings on his neck glowing with happiness and sadness. In the new lands he'd travel to, he'd be able to start a new phase of his life. Here he would learn which side of his heart was correct. Were the fates of others to be left to themselves? Or did his mother have the right idea to smother the vile and drag the lost back on the path?
