The first notion one is confronted with while in the presence of Sanguine is the haunting aura which plagues her. A chilled atmosphere in which ones breath seems to catch and their skin trembles as if death's cold nails are lingering upon it. Her presence is actually quite strong, the a cloud of dust which gags those who dare to take a breath. However, her scent can actually seem quite pleasant. In many cases does the witch smell of her past time, the scent of death and musty, rotten flesh. But the seductress could also smell of romance: roses and wine, a perfume scent which is quite strong. Her fur is quite rough, despite seeming soft to the eyes -- each tendril coarse to the touch as a broom would be. It isn't overly long, but it does hang considerably more that the average wolf's in certain places like her tail and neck. Her bodice is long, but not sickly as some would assume it would be beneath her melanoid coat. Her face is sharp and romantic, cheek bones high and snout thin. Ears lay atop her skull quite large and pointed, sprouting with long fur which fountains down the sides of her willowy neck in soft waves. Her face is actually quite soft in most examples, but her eyes are what strike those who enter her midst. Two crimson orbs like rose red moons adorn her face, bright as the sun yet subtle enough for a maiden. Long lashes hood over the bloody prisms like the wings of a raven, her eyes framed gently by her raised cheek bones. And yet, if one gazes so intently upon the witch's face, they might be able to catch the faintest hint of serpentine slit pupils within the ocean of cardinal lest they become slave it it. Her posture is refined and yet indifferent, shoulders squared as a fair lady should, yet her head regularly hangs level with her spine. Overall, the woman's appearance is greatly based on her opinion of those in her presence; one hour charming and lovely, the next dreadful and horrifying.
personality
Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings who subsist by feeding on the life essence generally in the form of blood of living creatures, regardless of whether they be undead or a living being. However, the term "vampire" is a vast term used to describe many. For example, a vampire could be cold as death herself, killing for pleasure and reaping the benefits with a heavy feast of blood. She could also be kind and kill those of lower consciousness like wildlife to satisfy her lust for blood, a vampire plagued by guilt. Sanguine, however, resides somewhere between the two opposites. Her body is cold, always welcoming the warmth of another's blood down her gullet but there is a twinge of something, something so odd to the witch that she herself cannot pinpoint exactly what it is. When she feeds from a wolf, from someone who begs her for mercy, is that guilt which inkers into her consciousness? Is that fear which brushes her stone heart? Is it ancient sadness which bubbles from the surface of her brain from past memories? Sanguine of course has to feed upon blood of the living to sustain herself and remain healthy, but this of course is out of need. A maddening desire lurks within the shadowy queen, tongue salivating at the thought of crimson blood leaking over it -- but Sanguine dare not acknowledge the thirstiness. It is this twinge of guilt that she feels in her gut which repels her, disgusts her. The ominous woman, seeming so serene in appearance is a torrent of chaos -- a sand storm ready to kick up at any second into a maddening tempest. Imagine a woman, so destroyed and decayed within, forced to outlive her loved ones, cursed with immortality and a horrible thirst for the blood of her peers. Now, Sanguine is not evil and does not find joy in hurting others by any means. In fact, she does everything she can to make feeding as painless as possible for her victims. However, it is the thirst for blood which keeps her coming back for more, keeps her hurting those she loves or even strangers. Sanguine's method does in fact orient around the seducing process, as her victims are almost always male. The witch is ruled by her emotions, completely slave to whatever she may be feeling at the time. Her reactions are diverse and the woman is ultimately unpredictable.
history
Does anyone recall the history of a demon? The darkest demons are just that, and those who fear them know nothing and have no desire to learn any personal information. Perhaps the prisoner you executed was a tortured soul? Innocent and pure but tortured? You see, it is irrelevant what the past of a demon is, as long as he is defeated. Fear extends far beyond rational thought. It is fear which lingers in Sanguine's pelt, melts off of her in mists of dread. Her past is unknown to all living creatures, but is oh so fresh in her damned mind. Of course the saga is a sorrowful one, but anything relevant to it will never slip past the witch's lips. One could assume a vampire's past is always the loneliest, and perhaps this would be true. However, the only way to truly understand the woman who perches in the shadows is to be consumed with her, allow her to trust you... and perhaps the poet will tell her tale.
