Reference
Sirius is a brute of deceiving features. His stature is heavy set, for the most part. His shoulders are stocky and broad, his chest wide and his legs laden with muscle. He stands at about six feet tall and while many could still tower over him he holds an authoritative air about him that many tend to acknowledge. His pelt is thick and lush which holds true for the long tail that hangs behind him. For the most part he keeps the appendage lifted but the tip has been known to drag along the ground behind him at times. His body is toned quite well through vigorous training on nights by himself and days running across the isles of Kaelir as far as the edges permitted. His pelt is a fine mix of rich purple. The color is darkest along his legs and the tip of his long tail as well as his muzzle. It is hard to peg the colors that seem to blend through each hair upon his body, a gradient of dark purples and violets. Along the nape of his neck down to the base of his tail across his spine the lightest colors can be seen as far as his overall color goes. It has a faint pinkish-red tint to it in the brightest lighting. Four bands of a light, faded pink wrap around his fore legs. Among the purples strands of gold breaks the pattern. His toes are dipped in the color, sharp, thin stripes lining along the top of his tail towards the base before fading back into the purple. More stripes can be seen draped along the back of his neck and shoulders with a few along his spine trickling down. His large, pointed ears are lined with a faint orange-gold. Curving over the top of his eyes a thin line of the same orange-gold color can be seen. Three marks like scratches slash down his cheek beneath his eyes as well. His face is dark and the purple along his cheeks and snout is dyed so dark it is quite nearly black until it actually fades into the deep color around his nose. A single gold stripes slips down the middle of his snout, standing out against the shaded backdrop. Eyes of liquid gold stare out stoically from a dark face, contrasting so much his gaze is piercing to look at. These are not the most interesting aspects of Sirius, however. Upon his forehead nearly horizontal three fiery golden gems are embedded into his skull. The one in the center is located a little above the others and just a tad larger than the other two. The colors seem to shift as if it is a living organ, sparking and dancing with the colors of the sun. Upon his head between his ears two small ebony horns curve up to the heavens. Larger, thicker horns protrude from the back of his skull just below the others, seeming to tilt back and curve to fine points upwards. Stripes of white slash horizontally along the edges. Two short spikes rise from his shoulder blades as well, the same black as his horns though devoid of white. Three thin, shorter spikes sprout from his spine, leaning back progressively, the last one nearly parallel with his back. He is quite the sight to see.
personality
| |||||||||
A man of imposing nature, Sirius is used to being understood and never questioned. While he would never intimidate unless it made ends meet he holds himself in humble high regard. He knows his limits and knows them well, but he also is very aware of his abilities and the extent of them. He is quiet with these, however, and tends to not play himself up to be a big bad brute. His intelligence knows no bounds and while he understands there is always room for improvement and growth he is confident he is in a comfortable position as far as his decisions and intelligence goes. His confidence never breaches into egotistical and his self-awareness sets him apart from many of his peers and those he keeps company with. He stops at nothing to gain the upper hand and stands his ground with a ferocious determination. He is a fierce politician as far as hierarchy goes and always seems to know what to say. This is because he does not blindly jump into a situation. He gathers the information and facts, however boldly or discreetly, before setting up his decisions and presenting his cases. He chooses his words carefully and thinks every possible angle through before speaking his mind. He decides things based on what is right on the whole, rather than for personal gain or to aid someone in bias. Whether this means a sacrifice of some sort or choosing the lesser of two evils he makes sure he does what is right by himself and his family. This is not to say he doesn't hold some of his family in higher regards than others. Mariposa, in particular, has a somewhat similar personality and thus Sirius finds himself butting heads with her more often than not. He is cautious and careful, and being a dominant and ruling power in the family he watches his back well, knowing full well there are some ill intentions among some of his family and even those outside of it. He is no fool in this respect. He does not let his heart cloud his judgment. While he cares deeply for his family he won't let that get in his way and as said before he is unbiased. This is what sets him apart from other leaders as well. Many would let their family and friends and loved ones get in the way of the ultimate goal. And his goals, indeed, are ambitious. He strives for the best of any situation, never faltering and it takes quite a lot to discourage him. He is headstrong and powerful and uses that to his advantage as much as possible. He would not have survived this long otherwise. Especially when he knows there are a few who would undermine him and rather him be dead or lost in time to take his position. Sirius is a force to be reckoned with and does not back down. He hopes his family remembers this about him.
history
| |||||||||
There was once a massive, horned beast of legend; they say he was more than wolf, more than mortal, and yet still shy of being a god. Only what’s left of his living family knows his true name; he lives in myths and stories with names like Sunchallenger and Worldeater. He was born with a hunger for power as big as the sky, and so he set his sights on the sun. As he grew from child to adult, he became vicious and cruel; in his time, he would slay wolf after wolf in the name of Sol. With each kill, he would appeal to the god, demanding that Sol show his face to him; his morality was so long-lost that he wanted to challenge and kill the god in order to take his place in the sky. On the day of his hundredth senseless kill, Sol cursed him to endless famine, and branded his black face with a clean sweep of white fur so that everyone would know he had lost the favor of the gods. His children did not inherit his curse of hunger, but they were born with echoes of his ambition and power, and each child’s face was marked with white, marking them as wolves forsaken by the gods. Their god blood was all that remained of Worldeater, who vanished some time ago, and while his name slowly died in Adymeria, they lived on in the shadows, waiting for his return. With time, the white markings faded from the faces of his children, until the time came that a son was born without any white markings at all. He vanished, his whereabouts unknown...but his blood still lives on, led by Sirius, the unmarked child. Now they once again step into the sun’s light. -------------------------------------------- The man who was overlooked. The man who was unseen and unheard of in all of Sirius' life growing up. The man who sired many children with various different God Forged women. Sirius' mother was of little importance. She was only around to mother her children in a way that was mechanical and rehearsed. She was a mother on a blind path, the instincts in her mind telling her what to do and there was little of a personal touch to it all. Sirius was the first born in his litter. He oversaw his younger siblings as any father should, filling the role quite easily as if his mother was not there at all. Though Sirius learned the basics of life and the ways of survival the building blocks of the man Sirius is today had been laid down by the brute himself. He saw to himself and his siblings and carried them upon his back through the years. They aged with little hindrances, though it would be that when Sirius aged to a full grown man at the age of five that was where his body ceased aging. That is a later date, however. When the children were old enough they went about their own, the mother fading into the shadows to scurry off to parts unknown. Sirius didn't mind. He found comfort in being the head of their small band of family members. It was when he lost his littermates that everything seemed to change. It was a sabotage. It was not unknown that the Makuria family were aligned with the one they called the Worldeater, the Sunchallenger. Between the isles Sirius sent his family to try and reach out to any others potentially of the same name that could be banded together once and for all. It was not unknown that Sirius' father had sired more than one litter. Upon the back of one of the many flying creatures of transport Sirius' littermates met their end. A small band of right-wing radicals overthrew the beast, tossing the young God Forged into the sea of clouds where death embraced them in a most agonizing way. When news traveled back to Sirius was crushed and devastated. For months he traveled alone and unsure of the direction of things. He sought guidance, more often than not finding himself in the temples questioning the Trinity and wondering what had gone wrong. It was not Sirius' fault he had been born into this name. He grew to hate it for years. Many years passed and there was no sign of him finding another Makuria. He gave up the search and tried to find his path. That was when the War happened. Gods raged in the heavens, chasing one another across the skies in eternal conflict. Beasts and creatures from all over Adymeria clashed viciously. Wolves of all packs and all species collided with one another to fight in the name of their god. Word spread quickly and the God Forged were at a loss for what to do. They were racing along the islands trying to placate the gods with their prayers and offerings. In the chaos Sirius found himself. Something seemed to click in his mind. His resolve was ironclad and fierce and he set off to find his family. Things needed to change and Sirius was adamant about doing the changing. He found his half brothers and half sisters in the end. When the Great Spirit fell so did the hearts of all the God Forged. The sadness made way for terror and the elder Bleu cast forth her wisdom. And that was when Sirius joined his brethren in becoming encased in the crystal for protection against the rage that would no doubt be turned upon them for not saving the Spirit. Sirius was separated from his family once again. Through the decades and years frozen in time a vision came to Sirius. It was at the back of his mind, soft spoken words and images that flashed so quickly Sirius had trouble processing them. It was a vision he has kept to himself even to this day. When the magic lifted and the God Forged roamed into the world again Sirius was certain Adymeria had been destroyed. One could only imagine his shame and embarrassment and outrage when the wolves still roamed free and the gods were idle. Sirius kept that vision he had to himself and through the isles he went, finding his family and trying to rebuild what he had once. The rest will be as it may |
